Social Media Manager (m/f/d) We bring you to the next level

We are Startup Communication, the PR and social media agency for startups. Our clients include fast-growing customers from all over Europe, who we support in becoming a big player - and VCs, accelerators and funding programs. The whole startup ecosystem, in fact. We are looking for you to join our Social Media & Content team! If you're up for putting your ideas into action with bold clients, working with the most exciting companies and taking their brand to the next level, then you've come to the right place. In return, we promise to give you your creative freedom, encourage and develop you, and you'll work with a team that knows what teamwork and standing up for each other means.

Your tasks How your job will look like

We'll just describe what a social media manager does at Startup Communication. In general: you determine your day-to-day work. We work with Kanban, a project management method that allows us to process our tasks according to priority rather than customer. This way we make sure that the most important and urgent tasks get done right at the beginning of the week and we don't get stressed. This also means that you choose your tasks at the daily meeting, our Daily Stand-up, and briefly let us know what you have planned for today. In the same way, you also get an overview of what the others in the team are up to and we can coordinate again or coordinate differently if someone has too much on their plate. Therefore, here's an outline of what's often on the agenda:

1

Social Media concepts and strategies

We develop new, creative ideas for our customers. This includes the strategic part with objectives, target groups, the appropriate channel selection and an overview of the initial topics and content clusters. We usually develop the ideas for the concepts during a joint brainstorming session and then develop them further accordingly.

2

Social Media Management

By this we mean the support of our customers' platforms. We work in both the B2B and B2C sectors, so our channels mainly include LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook/Meta and YouTube. Depending on the customer, TikTok, Twitter, Twitch or Discord are also included. For us, social media management includes content planning, graphic briefing and supervising posting and community management.

3

Reporting

We report via Google Data Studio in combination with Supermetrics. In addition to the social media reporting itself, it is also about advising your customers, classifying the numbers and giving them a context and the resulting next steps.

4

Collaboration with the Performance Team

Good and creative content is also becoming increasingly important for advertising. That's why, depending on the project, you also work closely with the performance team, are a sparring partner for creative campaigns and coordinate joint activities.

5

Consulting and project management

We do not have project managers. We work directly with our customers. That's why it's important that you like to advise, can put yourself in your customer's shoes and have the best solution for them in mind.

6

Sparring partner for our juniors

Learning from each other is one of our most important credos. And be sure: Not only you can teach the Juniors something - they will inspire you just as much and give you new ideas. We trade experience for creative explosion. Are you at the start?

This is how the application process looks 3 Steps to know if we are a match

  1. Phone interview: We invite you to the first interview via video call. This usually takes about 30 minutes, depending on how many questions you have.
  2. Personal interview: You come to our agency and we talk about everything: how you imagine your new workplace, what you need to be able to work ideally, what work model you have in mind, what you would like to achieve and how we can support you.
  3. Getting to know the team: With us, it's the team that decides. Because that's the most important thing for us, that's why we include everyone in the recruiting process. In this step, you will get to know a large part of the team, talk to various people over coffee, attend initial meetings and get a half-day's full insight into our daily routine. After that we decide together if we are a match!
